As the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees bring their fierce rivalry to London this summer for the first ever Major Baseball League games to be played in Europe*, The Colony is presenting a menu of Boston greats to sit alongside the à la carte menu. The selection of most-loved dishes associated with the Red Sox's home turf has been developed using the best original recipes and historical sources.
The Boston Classics Menu is served alongside the à la Carte menu from 24-30 June.
Highlights include New England Clam Chowder (served at Union Oyster House since 1836), Soft Shell Steamers, Baked Beans (of course), Lobster Rolls (opinions vary hugely regarding the authentic way to prepare this - celery or not?), Parker House Scrod, Fried Clams (invented by Lawrence 'Chubby' Woodman in 1914), Cannolis (a speciality for many bakeries in Boston, the most famous being Mike's Pastry, Modern Pastry, and Tripoli) & Boston Cream Pie (not a pie at all).
*The Mitel & MLB two game London Series 2019 will be played at the London Stadium 29 - 30 June 2019.
