A Return to Lounging in Style

Monday 4 to Sunday 10 October

After a year in which so many of us have spent possibly too much time at home, embracing the ease of 'WFH' leggings, trainers and oversized sweatshirts, The Beaumont aims to elevate the status of comfort clothing and celebrate the sort of luxurious loungewear reminiscent of an earlier, more glamorous age.

Visitors will be able to experience the exceptional craft of Lounging in Style in the hotel's striking Art Deco lobby from Monday 4 to Sunday 10 October, from 10am to 5pm.

In collaboration with some of the UK's finest makers of menswear, The Beaumont presents a collection of beautifully crafted dressing gowns, pyjamas, leisure jackets and slippers made of the softest cashmeres, opulent printed silks, richly embroidered velvets and innovative, plant-based fabrics, all exquisitely detailed and hand-finished. Many are crossover items, bridging a gap between loungewear and nightwear, with pieces transitioning into eveningwear. Harking back to a more sumptuous time, each design takes inspiration from one of the best-dressed icons of screen or stage icons whose portraits line the walls of The Beaumont, including Clark Gable, Sir Noel Coward and F Scott Fitzgerald.

Presented with the participation of Budd Shirts, Purdey, New & Lingwood, Turnbull & Asser and Edward Green.

The exhibition is free of charge.
