Art & Afternoon Tea on Mother's Day

Sunday, 19 March, 2 sittings, at 1.30pm and 4.30pm

With its walls covered with artworks by some of the foremost fashion interpreters of the 1920s and 30s, Gatsby's Room is a most fitting setting for a series of Afternoon Tea Talks & Live Illustration Demonstrations by the best-known fashion illustrators of the present day, whose works have graced the front covers and pages of the leading fashion journals worldwide.

Join us on Sunday 19th March for a fashionable event with award-winning fashion and lifestyle illustrator Jason Brooks, whose work is held in many private collections around the world as well as V&A's permanent archive.

Guests are invited to enjoy a Full English Afternoon Tea with a glass of 2018 Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs in Gatsby's Room. One guest per booking will have her own personal portrait drawn by Jason during the afternoon; this original, signed portrait, made on fine art paper, can be taken home as a Mother's Day gift.

Jason will be interviewed by Connie Gray, the lead curator for Gray M.C.A Gallery, and a specialist in the history of 20th century fashion illustration and the history of French Haute Couture.
