"I cannot sleep unless I am surrounded by books."
Jorge Louis Borges

The Beaumont has partnered with Heywood Hill, the iconic Mayfair bookshop which supplied the books in the hotel's suites and bedrooms, to offer a special night's stay.

The 'A Year in Books' rate, which celebrates the love of books and reading, includes a one night stay at The Beaumont and a subscription to Heywood Hill's luxury A Year in Books service.
During their stay at The Beaumont, guests may visit Heywood Hill in Mayfair for an optional reading consultation with a dedicated bookseller who will ascertain the customer's personal reading tastes. Over the course of the following year, twelve carefully chosen and beautifully gift-wrapped new books will then be posted to their door: fiction, non-fiction or a mix of both.

How it works:

The Beaumont will send the recipient a Heywood Hill voucher explaining how the 'Year in Books' subscription works, inviting the subscriber to have an (optional) reading consultation with a personal bookseller during the stay at The Beaumont. If not in person, the consultation can happen online or by phone as well. The subscriber will then be sent on a monthly basis, a total of 12 hand-picked books over the year's lifetime of the subscription, once their postal details have been confirmed online with Heywood Hill. If Heywood Hill do not hear from the subscriber within one month of the voucher being sent they will begin sending their choice of the best new books each month. They make great efforts to ensure that each book is the best choice for their subscribers. However, if the book choice is unsatisfactory or the subscriber has already read it, books in perfect unread condition can be exchanged. Subscribers can make a maximum of three exchanges during the year. Postage for the return of books and the sending of replacements is at the subscriber's expense.
