Antony Gormley's ROOM is both a monumental figural sculpture and an architectural extension to the hotel. Designed as an experiential work of art, there is a meditative stillness to the interior space that allows for a complete withdrawal from the world outside. Part of a suite of rooms decorated in the soft Art-Deco style of the rest of The Beaumont, the monumental bedroom, ten metres high, clad entirely in dark, fumed oak, and furnished only with a king-size bed, allowed the artist "to sculpt darkness itself."

Combine a stay in this extraordinary space with a one-on-one contemporary art tour of London, devised by SideStory and designed around your personal interests. Their expert, Joshua White will give you a memorable, insider's view of this exciting world. Insightful and deeply knowledgeable, Joshua lectures at the Tate museums and the National Portrait Gallery, as well as other leading arts institutes.

This is a fascinating opportunity to stay in a one-off suite and gain some first-hand knowledge. You don't need to be an expert, simply curious to learn more.

The ROOM for Art offer includes the following complimentary amenities:

  • A 3-hour individually tailored, one-on-one guided walking tour of London's best contemporary art galleries
  • A signed copy of Antony Gormley's monograph on ROOM with an essay by Margaret Iverson
  • A private ride in the hotel's vintage Daimler to the first gallery on your tour's list
  • A Full English Breakfast for two
  • A private in-room bar with soft drinks and snacks
  • Wi-Fi throughout the hotel
  • Access to the hotel's spa and 24 hour gymnasium
