27 April, 2023
With large crowds expected to visit London for the Coronation of King Charles III, celebrate with us at The Beaumont in a less hectic environment in the weeks before and after the big event, as we pay tribute to the nation's most precious and symbolic treasures.
Coronation Afternoon Tea
Join us in Gatsby's Room for a Traditional Afternoon Tea with a special selection of handmade gemstone-hued pastries inspired by the precious stones found in the Crown Jewels: emeralds, rubies, diamonds and golden topaz. To continue the celebrations beyond the weekend, we will be pouring a complimentary glass of Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs with Afternoon Tea from Monday 8 to Friday 12 May.
Sceptre Cocktail
Le Magritte Bar Manager, Cosmin Trusca and his team have created a stunning new cocktail in tribute to the Crown Jewels. Available throughout May, the Sceptre is gin-based drink with St Germain, Italicus, Vetiver, Cocchi Americano, topped with Champagne, and presented with a spectacular colourless cut diamond ice cube at its heart.
London Craft Week Jewellery Exhibition
From Monday 8 to Sunday 14 May, explore an exhibition of ethical fine jewellery inspired by the allure of The Beaumont's Art Deco heritage in Gatsby's Room. Five award-winning jewellers have been selected by La Maison Couture to present their work. On Wednesday 10 May, join us for an Afternoon Tea and Talk between sustainability expert, Rachel Fortune, and three positive impact jewellery designers.
English Table d'Hôte
In The
Colony, our weekly changing Table d'Hôte menu is
served Monday to Friday for lunch from noon to 2.30pm and dinner
from 6pm to 7pm. In recognition of King Charles III's love of
British rural life and the countryside, the menu in the week
preceding the Coronation, from Monday 1 to Friday 5 May, celebrates
British produce at its best, most seasonal and most
flavourful.
