Parliamentary privilege
The Palace of Westminster (better known as the Houses of Parliament) is one of the world's most iconic buildings, but did you know that you could peek inside? This vast structure, begun in 1840 and not finished until the 1870s, includes the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Guided tours give access to both chambers, as well as the spectacular medieval Westminster Hall, and offer an expert insight into the history of the building and Britain's ancient Parliament. On Saturdays and on most weekdays when UK Parliament is not sitting.

Runs to 16 April 2023.
Nothing better
One of Shakespeare's best-loved comedies, with the love-hate verbal sparring between Beatrice and Benedick at its heart, Much Ado About Nothing comes to the National Theatre in a brand-new production set in a 1930s hotel on the Italian Riviera. Directed by award-winning Shakespeare specialist Simon Godwin, with television stars Katherine Parkinson as Beatrice and John Heffernan as Benedick, this imaginative and lively update of the timeless classic runs from 7 July through to 10 September.
Flower Tower
Built in the 1070s, the Tower of London is the capital's oldest and largest monument, but to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, this summer it is becoming the Flower of London. Earlier this year the Tower's dry moat was planted with 20 million flower seeds, which will bloom between July and September. Visitors will be able to follow a winding path through floral displays filled with colour and scent, with sound and sculptural installations along the way. To 18 September.
