Working in a diverse environment can be challenging at times.
As the majority of our staff are non-native speakers, we try to break down the communication barriers by offering an Online English Course in collaboration with the London School of English.
After running an online magazine in Brazil for 5 years, I decided to move to London to start anew. Having previously worked here in hospitality, I reconnected with the industry at The Beaumont, firstly in Private Dining as a casual and then at The Colony as permanent staff. Six months later I was offered the chance to move to the Marketing department. It is amazing how management was able to spot my talents and give me the opportunity to combine two passions: hospitality and marketing.
I started my 'journey' here as a Front Desk Supervisor. In my first year, I attended various training courses, which helped me in the transition from a 4* property. Since then I have been supported in my rise through the organization, moving to the role of Hotel Duty Manager and then to managing the Front Office and Concierge Teams. Guests always mention the team and the excellent service we provide. I started here 3½ years ago as a Commis, having moved to London to progress my career.
